ST. PAUL, MN (KDAL) - Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton has signed a rather restrictive medical marijuana bill that was passed by the Legislature. The bill creates a patient registry under the Department of Health and authorizes the use of cannabis in limited forms for certain qualifying medical conditions. It also regulates the distribution and manufacture of medical marijuana. Many advocates are disappointed in the bill and will try to have the program expanded during next year's legislative session.
