DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - It was a memorable Memorial Day Weekend in the Twin Ports as the weather was nearly perfect for outdoor activities of all kinds. The official high temperature at the Duluth Airport office of the National Weather Service on Monday was 85 degrees. That ties the record high for May 26th that was set in 1978. Temps were just as warm along the lake for most of the day until an east wind developed in the late afternoon and quickly cooled lakeside areas down. Continued winds off the lake will result in considerable cooler temperatures in the Twin Ports area on Tuesday.
