ST. PAUL, MN (KDAL) - The Minnesota Senate and House conference committee has come to an agreement on a bonding bill for the state. State Senator Roger Reinert says he is pleased with how Duluth projects came out assuming that the final bill gets the super majority support needed in both chambers to pass. In the bill, the NorShor theater would get 6.95 million for renovations, 3.4 million for the Spirit Mountain water project and 2.3 million for Wade Stadium repairs. Reinert says bonding requires a local match which would be helped by a 50-50 food and beverage tax in Duluth which is included in the supplemental tax bill.
