DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - Letter carriers in the Twin Ports and across the country are making it very easy for you to give to your local food shelf. The annual "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive is being held on Saturday and people are being asked to fill a bag with non perishable, non expired food and leave it by your mailbox before 9 a-m for pickup. Letter carriers and volunteers will then bring the donated food to a central location for distribution to area food shelves. Among the food items that are most needed are soups, canned tuna, pork and beans, stews, chili and peanut butter.
