DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - The baseline results of the first long term economic research study of the Twin Ports and surrounding region were unveiled Tuesday at the DECC. The Regional Economic Indicators Forum featured research by economists and students at UMD, the College of St. Scholastica and UWS. The study is made possible by the support of the National Bank of Commerce and is designed to provide information for business owners and developers regarding local economic indicators and trends. The report also collected data from businesses that showed overall confidence as moderately optimistic. The bi-annual report covers a 15 county area around the Duluth-Superior hub. The next report will be released in the fall.
