DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - A new piece of snow removal equipment was debuted Friday by MnDOT to clear snow from Highway 53 between Twig and Duluth. The "tow plow" is a trailer mounted plow that is pulled and operated from a snowplow truck. It operates at any angle up to 30 degrees and is capable of plowing snow at speeds of 30 to 40 miles per hour depending on location and conditions. In addition the "tow plow" is capable of applying salt to the roadway.
