Duluth, MN (KDAL) - With Manitowoc cranes serving as a backdrop, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker toured the Enbridge Energy tank farm in Superior Thursday. Following his walk-thru the governor said he was impressed by the work underway, noting that Enbridge is an important employer to Wisconsin. The company is in the process of adding storage tanks to accommodate more crude from Canada and the Bakken region of North Dakota. The governor says it was eye-opening to see such a volume of crude flow through Superior which is ultimately helping to power the nation. He added that taking in the size of the tanks, their safety features and the project’s building practices, in such a comprehensive session, was reassuring given the recent concerns over transporting crude. During his stop the Governor also stumped for his tax plan, the Blueprint for Prosperity, which the state senate recently approved.
