Duluth, MN (KDAL) - The American Red Cross is helping those working to contain swollen rivers in the International Falls area. Flood Warnings remain posted for northern Koochiching and Saint Louis Counties until this afternoon. The National Weather Service says this has been the wettest June that International Falls has experienced since 2002. More than seven-and-a-half inches of rain has fallen since June 1st. Meanwhile, for the year, the falls have logged close to 16-and-a-half inches of precipitation—nearly two inches above the previous high set in 1941. On Saturday, the Red Cross say they served about 70 meals to people working to hold back the flood waters. More relief workers and supplies, including a second mobile feeding truck, are on their way up to the area.
