Duluth, MN (KDAL) - Congressman Rick Nolan says he plans on connecting with Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe next week about his promise to personally review the decision to close the Duluth mail sorting facility. A week ago today the eighth district congressman hosted a public forum in Duluth to discuss the closure, which would eliminate the jobs of about 70 workers at the site. Nolan says several dozen residents turned out to discuss the facility’s impact on their lives. The democrat say he’ll personally deliver that feedback to Donahoe. Nolan adds there’s still time for the postal service to rethink the move, which calls for the closure of the Duluth site, with the exception of the retail location.
