Duluth, MN (KDAL) The soon-to-be head of the Minnesota Office of Medical Cannabis has links to the northland. Today the department of health announced that Michelle Larson has been hired to serve as the director of the newly created program. She’ll begin her duties on August 13th. Previously Larson served as the deputy director of the department of health’s Office of Statewide Health Improvement. Before that Larson worked in Lake County as an environmental health specialist. She’s also served in the Minnesota Air National Guard’s 148th Fighter Wing based in Duluth. State health commissioner Dr. Ed Ehlinger says the office needs to hit the ground running and Larson has the right mix of experience and skills to make that happen.
