Duluth, MN (KDAL) - The Minnesota Department of Health says 15 people have been sickened by a rare kind of E.coli. Since Monday investigators say they’ve confirmed two additional cases. Of the 15, 12 of those affected reported eating at an Applebee’s location in Blaine, Roseville, Willmar, Woodbury, Monticello, Bemidji, New Hope and Duluth between June 23rd and the 29th. While the source of the outbreak isn’t known, the Department of Agriculture continues to trace ingredients to suppliers and their points of origin. Earlier this week the department of health told K-D-A-L News it appears the outbreak may’ve been caused by produce used in the restaurant’s ‘Oriental Chicken Salad’, which has since been pulled from the menu.
