SIOUX FALLS, SD-(KELO-AM) - Mount Rushmore was the site for the United States Citizenship ceremony held Wednesday. Nearly 200 new citizens took the Oath of Allegiance. U.S. Circuit Court Judge Robert Gusinsky, himself an emigree, spoke at the event presided over by Chief District Judge Jeffrey Viken. Approximately 7,800 people will become new citizens this year in 95 ceremonies held across the nation.
