Duluth, MN (KDAL) - The Duluth City Council will have several candidates to choose from when it comes to filling the seat once held by Patrick Boyle. The application deadline came and went Friday as ten residents officially threw their hats in the ring for the vacant Second District Council seat. Voters had re-elected Boyle to the council, however he stepped down after he was elected to the Saint Louis County Board. Among those applying for the council seat are Diane Desotelle, Kathy Heltzer, Todd J. Larson, Michael Laughlin, Eric Meyer, Angie Miller, Jesse Peterson, Michelle Peterson, Robert R. Pyle, and Joel Sipress. The City Council will conduct interviews on February 6th. Afterwards they’ll rank their top three choices at a special council meeting on February 10th.
