ST. PAUL, MN (KDAL) - The Minnesota Department of Health has reported a big spike in flu activity across the state during the past week. The 71 hospitalizations due to flu complications were double the number from the previous week and now total 189 for the season. There have been no flu related deaths in the state so far. Health officials say surveillance indicates "widespread" flu cases across Minnesota.
