DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - December of 2013 will be remembered as a very snowy and cold month across the Northland. The month was the third snowiest December in Duluth with nearly 40 inches of snow and behind only 42.3 inches in 1996 and 44.3 inches in 1950. There were eight days in December where the temperature was 15 degrees below zero or colder and it was the eighth coldest December on record in Duluth.
