Duluth, MN (KDAL) - The investigation continues after a man was beaten and robbed Monday night. According to authorities, it appears that the 34 year-old man drove up to a home in the ten-block of East 6th Street to pick up a friend. That’s when six black male suspects came out of the residence and approached the car. One of the suspects opened a passenger door and pointed a handgun at the driver. The five other suspects then pulled the man out and started punching him. The armed suspect then hit the driver with the butt of the handgun before he took his wallet and drove off in his 1992 Subaru. The man was taken to Essentia St. Mary’s hospital with non-life threatening injuries. His car was discovered early Tuesday morning in the 200-block of East 4th Street. Anyone who has more information about the incident should call Duluth police.
