SUPERIOR, WI (KDAL) - The 29th Annual "Superior Days" lobbying event begins on Tuesday in Madison. The number of northwestern Wisconsin counties involved has been reduced this year and will include only Douglas, Bayfield, Ashland and Iron. About 170 people will be making the trip and among the legislative issues they will be pushing for is the expansion of Highway 2 across northern Wisconsin to four lanes and a local option sales tax to fund county highway projects. Superior Days began in 1985 to try and bridge the geographic and political gap between southern and northwestern Wisconsin.
