DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - Just under 5 inches of snow was reported in Duluth by the National Weather Service office by early afternoon on Thursday. It created some very slippery roads and poor visibility for much of the region throughout the morning and led to a multiple vehicle crash in the I-35 tunnels just before 11 a-m. The Minnesota State Patrol says about two dozen vehicles were involved and no serious injuries were reported. Several other crashes were also reported in the area and navigating the hills in Duluth was an adventure for many in the early morning hours before crews were able to plow the snow and get salt and sand down. Because of the slow moving traffic, the DTA ran about a half hour late for a time, but by mid morning buses were back on schedule and running regular routes.
