DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - The anchor from a Navy ship that saw service in the Vietnam and Gulf Wars is now on display along the Lakewalk in Duluth. The monument from the USS Duluth will be dedicated at 2 p-m Friday by Navy and city officials and some past crew members of the ship. The anchor from the decommissioned ship was brought here from a scrapyard in Texas by volunteers. Among the speakers at the event are Rear Admiral David Duryea, Duluth Mayor Don Ness and USS Duluth Crewmembers Association President Don Rowe.
