Duluth, MN (KDAL) - Once again the weather cooperated for Wednesday’s installment of ‘Lake Place Summer Sounds’. With Lake Superior serving as a backdrop, Black River Revue performed for concert-goers. Whether they were young children eating lunch with their daycare group or professionals enjoying some time away from the office—several dozen spectators turned out to enjoy the group’s bluegrass-style music. Event organizers say the goal of the inaugural concert series is to draw first-time visitors to Lake Place Park, as well as to the nearby Lake Place Sculpture Garden and Duluth Sister Cities International Park. Following the concerts organizers give tours of the parks. The series began in mid-July and will continue with next week’s finale, which will feature ‘Red Mountain Band’. To access Lake Place Park, use entrances from the Norshor Theater and at the corner of Lake Avenue and Superior Street. Don't worry if you forget your lunch, there's a food truck nearby.
