DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - The St. Louis County Law Library is getting a new space in the Courthouse in Duluth and will be named in honor of longtime County Attorney Alan Mitchell. The library is now located on the ground floor of the courthouse and is a free resource for residents and attorneys dating back 125 years. The Alan Mitchell Law Library will be dedicated by representatives of the 6th Judicial District, the County Attorneys Office and local Bar Associations at 2 p-m Tuesday. Alan Mitchell who was the County Attorney from 1979 to 2006 is expected to attend the ceremony and ribbon cutting. The Law Library provides access to historic and current legal books and online services and is staffed with an attorney from 8 to 4:30 on Monday through Friday.
