Duluth, MN (KDAL) - The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says social networking helped them crack a weekend burglary in Foxboro. Sergeant Richard Schnell says the incident was reported Friday evening. Among the items taken were an A-T-V, generator and construction tools. After posting about the burglary on their Facebook page, the victim received a tip and forwarded it to the sheriff’s office. By Sunday night Sheriff’s deputies had recovered most of the stolen items and had made an arrest. 27 year-old Travis Bernard Livingston is charged with Burglary and Possession of Methamphetamine, both felonies. At last check deputies were still searching for a second suspect, who they’ve identified as Tyler Lee Mains. Sergeant Schnell says investigators are relying more and more on social networking to solve cases. In a county as large as Douglas County, social networking, he says, gives them a longer reach. Anyone with more information is asked to call the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
