Duluth, MN (KDAL) - Efforts to build a new sports complex—including a football stadium—will get a green and gold boost next week. The Green Bay Packers are rounding northern Wisconsin and the U-P on their Tailgate Tour. A week from Thursday the tour will make a stop at Superior High School. One of those former and current players on-board the tour, former quarterback Lynn Dickey says lending a helping hand to the Spartan-faithful is "...pretty cool." Dickey played for the Packers from 1976 until 1985. He’ll be joined by alumni Paul Coffman and James Lofton as well as by team President and C-E-O Mark Murphy. The Green Bay Packer Tailgate Tour stop is from 6:00 until 8:30 next Thursday. There will be food, giveaways, autographs and a Q-and-A session. All proceeds from the stop will go toward the National Bank of Commerce Spartan Sports Complex project. Your home for green bay packer football in the northland is AM 710 WDSM.
