CLOQUET, MN (KDAL) - Two time Academy Award winning actress and Cloquet area resident, Jessica Lange, has sent an open letter to Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton urging him to suspend the upcoming wolf hunt. The 2013 Minnesota early wolf hunt is set to begin on November 9th with the late season opening on November 27th. The DNR has set a total target number of 220 wolves including 65 in the northeast region. Among the reasons cited by Lange to suspend the wolf hunt are the concerns about the proper management of the wolf population and the "inhumane and unethical methods" used to trap and kill the wolves.
