DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - The Minnesota Sheriff's Association is offering up to 15 scholarships worth 600 dollars each to students enrolled in qualifying law enforcement programs. St. Louis County Sheriff Ross Litman encourages any students in the programs at area community colleges to apply. To qualify, students must be enrolled in a peace officer standards and training skills program, the second year of a two year law enforcement program or the third or fourth year of a criminal justice program at a four year college. Applications are available at the Duluth Courthouse or Public Safety Building or the Sheriff's offices in Virginia and Hibbing. The deadline to apply is October 15th.
