MINNEAPOLIS, MN (KDAL) - Jim Carlson, the owner of "The Last Place On Earth" in downtown Duluth is facing 54 counts of federal drug violations as his trial gets underway in the Federal Court in Minneapolis. A Duluth judge has closed down the Superior Street head shop while the city's nuisance suit continues. Meanwhile, supporters have put up a large "Free Carlson" banner over the upper floors of the building that houses The Last Place on Earth.
