DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - About a thousand St. Louis County workers represented by the AFSCME union ratified a new three year contract on Thursday. The ratification vote came after the county agreed to the union proposal regarding accumulated sick leave. The deal prevented a potential strike of about two thirds of the county's workforce. The contract now goes to the St. Louis County Board for final approval in October.
