Duluth, MN (KDAL) – An Iron Range man is one million dollars richer after his Powerball win. The Minnesota State Lottery says Richard Mervich of Eveleth bought the quick-pick ticket at a convenience store in town for the August 31st drawing. He discovered the winning ticket on Sunday the 1st when a clerk at the store compared his numbers with the winning numbers and found that he had matched the first five. Upon claiming his prize Mervich said with a hearty laugh (quote) “When I woke up this morning I felt like a million bucks!” (end quote)
