WASHINGTON, D.C. (KDAL) - After attending classified briefings on the situation in Syria, 8th District Congressman Rick Nolan said the session convinced him more than ever of the "folly and danger" of getting America involved in the Syrian civil war. Nolan says he will "vote and work against" the President's request for open ended authority to launch military strikes against the Syrian army. He says the Syrian people have been tragic victims of both chemical and conventional weapons but questions who bears responsibility. Nolan says the hard evidence is not there to justify the high risk of getting American involved in another "war of choice" in the Middle East.
