ST. PAUL, MN (KDAL) - During the recent "Click It Or Ticket" campaign, law enforcement across Minnesota issued tickets to 8,297 drivers and passengers for not buckling up. That number is slightly lower than the enforcement blitz for the same period a year ago. The Minnesota seat belt use rate is at a record high 94.8 percent according to the 2013 Department of Public Safety Survey. The State Patrol says drivers and all passengers, including those in the back seat, need to be buckled up or in an approved child restraint.
