DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - The Lake Superior Zoo has announced the names of the two baby Angolan Colubus monkeys that were born last summer. Guests who attended the "Boo At The Zoo" events this month were asked to choose their favorite names from the choices selected by zoo employees. The male monkey, born on June 26th, now has the name "Kermit" because he jumps around like a frog. The female was born on July 16th and was named "Kaya", which is also the name of a city in central Africa. The contributions from the voting process will be sent to the Colobus Conservation organization in Kenya.
