DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - A new machine that will help in the fight against breast cancer was unveiled at St. Luke's Hospital on Wednesday. The 100 thousand dollar "Faxitron Biovision" is a portable x-ray unit that is used to image tissue specimens from biopsies of suspected breast cancer. It can be used in the Breast Center and transported to operating rooms during surgical procedures. The unit is the first in the region and was funded through donations from the "Women Rock" event from Charter and the Como Oil "Project Pink" propane truck.
