DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - The U-S Army Corps of Engineers say the level of Lake Superior is currently 2 inches below its long term average for the beginning of October but is 13 inches over the levels of a year ago. The level declined about an inch over the last month and is expected to continue its seasonal decline during October. Meanwhile the levels of Lakes Michigan and Huron is 17 inches below the long term average and ten inches higher than last year at this time.
