DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - A former chancellor at the University of Minnesota Duluth will have the school's library named in her honor. Kathryn A. Martin was chancellor at UMD from 1995 to 2010 and was the first female chancellor in the University of Minnesota system. She spearheaded the efforts to fund and construct many buildings and building additions, including the 26 million dollar library in 2000. That building will be renamed the Kathryn A. Martin Library in a dedication event on October 7th.
