UNDATED (KDAL) - The partial federal government shutdown will impact many of the 18 thousand federal employees that work and live in Minnesota as they are furloughed without pay. Federal Courts in the state will operate as usual for ten days but could be affected if the shutdown extends longer than that. Voyageurs National Park is closed because of the shutdown. That includes the roads, campgrounds, boat launches and other facilities. Superior National Forest offices and ranger stations are also closed. Essential federal services and employees will continue on the job but will probably be paid retroactively.
