DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - The Duluth City Council passed a resolution Monday night that increases the Mayor's salary by 25 percent. The last time the Duluth Mayor's salary went up was nearly 14 years ago. The resolution also included the formation of a salary review committee that would meet every two years. Mayor Ness's current salary is 78 thousand dollars and will increase to 97,500 dollars beginning December 1st. Councilors Jim Stauber, Patrick Boyle and Howie Hanson voted against the resolution.
