DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - The City of Duluth has now implemented the Code Red warning system which allows for telephone calls, text messages and e-mails to inform citizens about emergencies. To participate, individuals living or working within the city limits of Duluth can go to the city's website duluthmn.gov and enroll in the program. The city anticipates using the system to notify residents in specific locations of police or fire emergencies or public utility interruptions. Citizens can also sign up for severe weather and storm warnings. For those who sign up, a test call will be made on December 2nd.
