ST. PAUL, MN (KDAL) - The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has closed the Northeast Zone to wolf hunting after 31 animals were harvested. The target quota for that zone was 33. Only the Northwestern Zone is now open for wolf hunting. The target quota is 73 in that zone and the harvest as of Monday was 44. The early wolf hunt continues until Sunday, November 24th or until the target harvest has been met. There is a late season that will run from November 30th to January 31st or when the total statewide quota of 220 is reached.
