DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - The Minnesota Department of Transportation will be doing ten highway construction projects that will get funding through the 300 million dollar "Corridors of Commerce" program. Two projects were chosen in northeastern Minnesota including the expansion of Highway 169 to four lanes in a 1.6 mile portion near Bovey to reduce congestion and provide safe passing opportunities. Passing lanes will also be added to Highway 2 from Cass Lake to Deer River. The 10 projects were chosen from more than 400 proposals for the funds.
