DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - The launch of the 2013 Christmas Red Kettle Campaign begins Friday with a special ceremony at Bentleyville in Duluth's Bayfront Park. Mayor Don Ness will proclaim Friday as Salvation Army Red Kettle Day. The campaign is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the Salvation Army providing services to needy families throughout the Twin Ports area and northeastern Minnesota. Kettle will be located at 17 area businesses and volunteers are needed to help ring the bells for a couple hours a day.
