GRAND MARAIS, MN (KDAL) - A festival that celebrates Lake Superior and her awe inspiring storms is being held Thursday through Sunday in several Cook County communities including Grand Marais, Lutsen and Grand Portage. The Lake Superior Storm Festival also coincides with the 100th Anniversary of the "White Hurricane of 1913". That storm claimed 19 ships and hundreds of lives on the big lake. Events include a "Wave Dash" on Saturday from Lutsen Resort. There will be talks on surfing along the north shore and Lake Superior photography.
