Twins Lose Third Straight

DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - The Twins had gone up on Clay Buchholz and the Boston Red Sox 2-1, and that's where it was when Vance Worley handed it over to the bullpen for the seventh. But then Brian Duensing walked leadoff hitter Johnny Gomes, and Jacoby Ellsbury's base hit up the middle three batters later tied the game at 2. Boston went ahead in the tenth after a sacrifice bunt by Wil Middlebrooks put runners at second and third and a Gomes-sac fly scored Dustin Pedroia. Boston pitchers shut down the final 17 Twins they faced en route to the 3-2 victory. Game two of the series in Minneapolis is tonight at 6:10 right here on KDAL.

The Brewers fell to the Cardinals 7-6, and have now lost 13 of their past 15.
