CARLTON, MN (KDAL) - A 27-year-old Duluth man who had allegedly stolen a vehicle in Duluth on Tuesday started a short-lived car chase after refusing to stop for authorities near Carlton. Five departments assisted, and the suspect was eventually stopped on Highway 210 near Interstate 35, according to the Carlton County Sheriff's Office. The driver -- the lone occupant of the vehicle -- was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle, fleeing police in a motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving after suspension. He's currently in custody pending formal charges.
