UNDATED (KDAL) - The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has placed burning restrictions on four additional counties in northern Minnesota since the snow cover has receding and creating prime conditions for wildfires. The restrictions were added to Cook, Koochiching, Lake and St. Louis Counties on Monday. While the restrictions will curtail debris burning, the use of campfires, smaller than 3 feet in diameter and 3 feet in height will still be allowed. Minnesota has seen numerous wildfires this spring, but most have been small.
