DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - The National Weather Service Office in Duluth has continued the Winter Storm Warning for parts of northwest Wisconsin until 7 p-m. Bayfield, Ashland, Washburn and Sawyer Counties were the hardest hit by the record setting May snow storm. 9 to 15 inches of snow was common with some areas in Hayward and Ashland reporting 16 plus inches. The snow is expected to diminish from west to east today but untreated roads will remain snow and slush covered and driving will be difficult. The heavy, wet snow has also caused some branches to break and fall on power lines in spots.
