CLAY COUNTY, MN (KDAL) - Authorities say fog was likely a factor in the small plane crash in western Minnesota Friday that killed Duluth's Kevin Ferris -- known locally as the Rose Man. The Cessna Ferris was renting went down about five miles outside of Hawley, MN, just short of his destination of Moorhead, where Ferris was planning to spend Easter with his family. The Clay County Sheriff's Office executed a ground search midday Friday until the fog cleared, at which point a search plane was able to spot the wreckage in the late afternoon.
