DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - Wade Stadium in Duluth lost some bricks lately and is still in need of an upgrade but the city will continue with its original goal of planning money from the state this year and funding for the actual work in 2014. The four million dollars in planning funds would need to be matched by the city and Mayor Don Ness will ask the state for permission to resume a half percent sales tax on food and beverages to pay for the city's portion. Since the stadium is used by the Huskies and others during the summer, the construction window is small.
