VIRGINIA, MN (KDAL) - Iron Range kids and their families will be launching 160 biodegradable sky lanterns over Silver Lake on Wednesday night to mark "Kick Butts Day" in Minnesota. The day empowers youth to stand out and speak up to the big tobacco companies. The sky lantern display will show support for the proposed 1.60 per pack increase in Minnesota taxes. The American Lung Association estimates that increase will prevent nearly 48 thousand youth from a lifetime of tobacco addiction.
