DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - The snow that began in the Twin Ports area early this morning left slippery roads in its wake and kept the Minnesota State Patrol busy responding to crashes. In the Duluth District the Patrol responded to 19 property damage crashes, 4 with injuries and 12 vehicles off the road. In the Twin Cities, there were over 157 property damage crashes, 17 resulting in injuries. Some highways in the west central part of the state were closed for a time by "white-out" conditions. Untreated roads and streets in the Twin Ports area are still slippery. Drive carefully, although the snowfall has diminished, roads may still be impacted by blowing snow and drifting as winds pick up on Monday night.
