BAYFIELD, WI (KDAL) - A semi-truck had trouble navigating a round-a-bout in Bayfield County early Saturday morning and rolled over, closing the intersection for about six hours. According to a release from the Bayfield County Sheriff, deputies arrived on the scene at the round-a-bout at U.S. Hwy. 2 and State Hwy. 13 about 7:35 a.m. and found no injuries or hazardous material spillage.
The driver was 54-year-old John Stahley of St. Paul. Stahley was westbound on Hwy. 2 when he got to the intersection but didn't realize it was a round-a-bout. He made it through, but the trailer overturned as he was exiting the intersection. He was cited for inattentive driving. Numerous agencies responded, but most were called off. U.S. Customs Border Patrol Agents in the area assisted with traffic control.
